'Musicians'

Music today should be judged on quality, not just theatrics.
The performers today that are called “artists” don’t all deserve that title. If someone it the music industry can’t play an instrument, write their own music, or sing well without auto-tune they don’t deserve to have a record label or contract to any corporation. An artist is someone who can alter the emotions of people through valuable presentations and ideas that they created themselves.
The music industry today doesn't focus on the ability of a singer or performers real vocal talent. It seems as if all they are concerned about is what a person looks like and if they can be outrageous during his or her performances. Someone dancing to choreography composed by somebody else or singing another person’s lyrics isn't talent.
Many young people today don’t care about how valuable a music artist is.  They just want to be entertained. Some of the men and women in the music industry today can’t carry a tune when they sing live, but that doesn't appear to matter. As long as he or she is theatrical the fans aren't concerned with how they sound.
In order to be considered worthy of winning an award for any album, the voice that is on it should be just as good off the record as it is on it. During award shows live performances are given, some awful, some fantastic. Surprisingly enough the awards given usually go to those whose performances weren't at all honorable. Occasionally the singers who actually are well reputable receive awards, it should just happen more often.
The record labels that sign these so called artists should really consider changing their standards and qualifications before signing someone to a label. The process in signing a singer to a label should require proof of self-written music, the ability to play at least one instrument, and he or she must have stage presence. Without any of those qualities, a musician can’t necessarily be called one.
Those who are in the music business today aren't all deserving of the fame they have gained. There are some artists that do belong where they are in the business, and they don’t deserve to be related to the fake musicians that they are associated with. Fame and fortune should have to be fought for and received with honor, not just attained by using schemes from a mind other than his or her own.
